STRATEGIC PANEL - NATIONAL CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE : THE JOURNEY TOWARDS ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE

Dr Philippe Ker Rault has a true trans-disciplinary experience (25 years) between research and the water industry in EU, MENA region and throughout Africa. Educated as environmental engineer from Imperial College, UK, he started as process engineer for the water sector (AWG). He obtained his PhD in water policy from Cranfield University, exploring societal complexity to water management, developing water governance model and linking technical and managerial aspects of environmental resource management.

Dr Ker Rault have a sound experience in Waste Water Reuse in Arid region, participative approach for Ecosystem services (The Economics of Environment and Biodiversity), implementation of the Green Economic Growth and Water-Energy Food Nexus, implementation of transition theory into IWRM, agricultural policy and in evidence-base policy making and evaluation. He has run over 100 stakeholders’ participative workshop on adaptation to Climate Change, environmental resources management, Environmental Impact Assessment.

Dr Ker Rault focuses now on Environmental Performance Evaluation, adaptation to climate change, and disaster risk reduction.
